Report: Some Clippers struggle with superstar treatment for Kawhi, George

Report: Some Clippers struggle with superstar treatment for Kawhi, George As great as the addition of both players has been for the Clippers, it has also brought new problems. Leonard and George are superstars, and superstars receive star treatment. That is definitely the case with Leonard, who adheres to a load/injury management schedule and often misses games even when the perception is that he is healthy.Last season’s Clippers won 48 games and won two games off a vastly superior Warriors team in the playoffs. Many attributed the Clippers' success last season to their tough attitude and hard-nosed style of play.

Andre Drummond is not happy about being traded by the Detroit Pistons without warning . Drummond was dealt by Detroit to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, just before the trade deadline. He sent a few tweets after the deal went through and complained about the lack of "friends If there’s one thing I learned about the NBA, there’s no friends or loyalty. I’ve given my heart and soul to the Pistons , and to be have this happen with no heads up makes me realize even more that this is just a business! I love you Detroit… — Andre Drummond (@AndreDrummond) February 6, 2020.

The Pistons were in a precarious position with their roster before dealing Drummond . Their 19-34 record ranks 10th in the Eastern Conference. Blake Griffin, who is owed .6 million next season with a .96 million player option for 2021-22, continues to have knee issues and had another surgery on Jan. 7 that could end his season. Given the issues with Griffin, dealing Drummond is the easiest way for the Pistons to accrue future assets that can help them become a consistent playoff contender in the East. He's a dominant post presence, averaging 17.8 points per game to go along with 15.8 rebounds.

Drummond was dealt by Detroit to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, just before the trade deadline. He sent a few tweets after the deal went through and complained about the lack of "friends or loyalty" in the league.

Mostly, he seemed upset about not having a heads-up about the trade.

Teams handle trade talks differently. Some executives work with their players and keep them informed about trade talks and possible moves as a professional courtesy.

Some keep things quiet in case a deal does not go through. Maybe that’s why the Pistons didn’t loop Drummond in.

Drummond does seem excited about teaming with Kevin Love in Cleveland.

The deal saw Brandon Knight, John Henson and a second-round pick go to Detroit.

The Cavaliers now hold Drummond’s Bird Rights, which could make it easier for them to re-sign him. Drummond, who was in his eighth season in Detroit, is avreaging 17.8 points and 15.8 rebounds this season.

First elephant Dambo says that Andre Drummond is 26 years old. So still young for any combination of him being your Top 3 player on roster. And elephant called Jambo that shows us that Drummond is best rebounder in the NBA right now. And when you combine these elephants I don’t thing that Cavs did a good job. When Pistons decided to combine Blake Griffin and Drummond we all know that roster should have just shooters from top to bottom. But in almost 3 years they never find any ways to really boost this pairing. And point guard rotation was consisted out of Reggie Jackson, Ish Smith and

Kevin Durant reiterates he won’t play this season .
Since back on Media Day last September, the Nets‘ decision-makers and Kevin Durant himself have been insisting that there are no plans to have the star forward return to the court this season. Durant, who continues to recover from a torn Achilles suffered last June, reiterated that point in a conversation with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks, ruling himself out for 2019/20 in the most definitive terms yet. © Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports As much as fans might want it, Brooklyn Nets small forward Kevin Durant will not be playing this year.
