Antonio Brown's attorney withdraws as his counsel

Antonio Brown's attorney withdraws as his counsel Just when it looked like things were starting to turn around for former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, there’s another bump in the road. According to Daniel Kaplan, Brown’s attorney, the one defending him in his sexual assault case, has applied to withdraw as his lawyer. This might not be as big of an issue as it appears on the surface. This is not the same attorney Brown has for his other criminal case so this could simply be a case of consolidating his resources.Either way, we honestly hope Brown is able to get all his legal problems settled and hopefully he can salvage his NFL career in some capacity once the dust settles.

The Steelers held it together longer than most teams would have without their star quarterback last year, but they know this year’s chances hinge on Ben Roethlisberger‘s health.

At least they’re getting good signs now.

According to Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert said Roethlisberger will get another check-up on his surgically repaired elbow in Los Angeles next Friday, but the prognosis is positive.

(AP) — Devon Dotson scored 15 points and No. 3 Kansas finished the game with a 9-0 run to beat No. 14 West Virginia 58-49 on Wednesday night. The Jayhawks (21-3, 10-1 Big 12) won for the ninth straight time and remain a game behind first-place Baylor. Isaiah Moss had seven of his 13 points after halftime for Kansas. West Virginia (18-6, 6-5) fell flat after leading by as many as nine points in each half and lost at home for the first time this season.Freshman Oscar Tshiebwe led the Mountaineers with 14 points and nine rebounds, but he had just two points after halftime. Jordan McCabe tied a season high with 10 points.West Virginia is stumbling after rising as high as No.

“All signs are good,” Colbert said. “We’re hopeful he can make a complete recovery.”

Colbert didn’t get into specifics of the procedure — particularly whether it was Tommy John surgery performed last September — but said they were confident he’d return to form.

“We don’t think he’s at the end of the road,” Colbert said.

Roethlisberger will turn 38 in March, so the checkup next week will be one the Steelers are monitoring closely, as they plot their future.

Bell wishes Roethlisberger well on Twitter, fans react .
On Sunday, New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell took to Twitter with a surprising purpose. The former Pittsburgh Steelers running back went on to wish Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger a speedy recovery. This was in response to a video on the Steelers official Twitter account showing Roethlisberger throwing a football five months after serious elbow surgery. © Provided by Steelers Wire First off, good on Bell. It would have been simple for Bell to just bypass this news. But despite all the hard feelings when Bell left, he took the time to reach out and wish him well.
