On Saturday, the Cincinnati Reds right-hander organized a sandlot-style wiffle ball game to help draw attention to one of his charitable endeavors. The game featured himself and a few other notable MLB players such as Mike Clevinger, Tommy Pham, and Derek Dietrich.

The players poked fun at the Houston Astros by banging a trash can before pitches, there was a controversial homer from Dietrich, and a bottle of hand sanitizer was rewarded to the game's MVP.

Bauer says the game will be broadcast online. With Major League Baseball suspending spring training and the start of the regular season unclear, Cincinnati Reds pitchers Trevor Bauer and David Carpenter are trying to organize a sandlot baseball game in Arizona to pass the time.

The shields for medical workers are made in part from materials that normally would be used for such gear as shoulder pads.As of Thursday morning, Bauer will begin mass-producing face shields using materials originally slated to make helmets and protective gear.
