The former Offensive Player of the Year helped lead the Rams to Super Bowl LIII in 2018 but took a significant step back from his 1,251 yards and 17 touchdowns, recording 857 yards and 12 scores while battling knee concerns in 2019.

Gurley signed a four-year, $57.7-million extension in 2018. He'll earn a $7.55-million guaranteed bonus Friday if he's still on the roster, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, who adds Gurley's $5.5-million base salary for 2020 would also become guaranteed.

Terrell Davis worried Todd Gurley will face same knee troubles he battled .
After winning back-to-back Super Bowls, taking home NFL MVP honors and Super Bowl MVP honors and rushing for 2,000 yards in a single season, former Broncos running back Terrell Davis saw his career derailed by ACL and MCL injuries. “In ’99 I had the injury [and] came back in 2000. I was never the same,” Davis told TMZ Sports in a recent interview. “It was always where I [felt like I] was just one rehab away from feeling like I was going to be great but I kept chasing that TD of old and I could never find it.” Davis ultimately decided to retire before the regular season in 2002. He is now worried that Falcons running back Todd Gurley could be faced with a similar injury problem.
