Trent Williams' agent criticizes Redskins for not dealing in good faith, asks for team to make a move Somehow, Trent Williams is still with the Washington Redskins. At the beginning of March, Washington finally let the unhappy Williams seek a trade. It was a long time coming, and it made little sense why the Redskins hadn’t done it before. The Redskins, who have botched plenty of situations through the years, miscalculated the Williams situation. Williams has insisted he won’t play for the Redskins again. His displeasure goes back to a misdiagnosis of a growth on his head that he said turned out to be cancerous. Washington stubbornly held onto him anyway.

Williams met with Ron Rivera for about 10-15 minutes a couple weeks ago, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini, and both sides felt that it wasn't going to work out.

The 31-year-old was drafted by Washington fourth overall in the 2010 NFL Draft and has spent nine seasons with Washington. He's been a big part of the scheme and anchor for the offensive line. Williams is a seven-time Pro Bowler and ranked 81 on the NFL's Top 100 list in 2019.

Pro Bowl tackle Trent Williams , who ended his holdout with the Washington Redskins earlier this week, says he had a cancerous growth on his scalp and his team didn't do anything about it.

If Williams does move on from Washington, it's likely he moves to a contender or a team that has the chance to make a deep run in the playoffs.
