  Isaiah Thomas’s sister killed in car accident Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas’s younger sister, Chyna Thomas, was killed in a car accident in Washington state early Saturday morning, a source close to the family confirmed. According to Washington State Patrol spokesman Nick King, the one-car crash involving Chyna Thomas’s 1998 Toyota Camry occurred at about 5 a.m. on Interstate 5 in Federal Way, Wash., which is about 15 miles northeast of Thomas’s hometown of Tacoma.King said that two witnesses observed the car slowly veer onto a patch of grass on the left shoulder of the road before striking a cement structure.

"Whatever he needs to do, he needs to do," Stevens said in his postgame conference. "We'll help him in any way. If he needs to and wants to stay here, we'll be here surrounding him. If he wants to go to Seattle, then he should go to Seattle. It's his call and it should be."

Stevens said the point guard is free to make those decisions at any time, and whenever and whatever Thomas decides, the team will "adjust accordingly."

Thomas did not speak with media after the game.

The Boston Celtics got off to a rough start against the Washington Wizards in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday, but no one had a tougher time than Isaiah Thomas.Midway through the first quarter, Thomas had one of his front teeth knocked out. It happened on a play where he was trying to steal the ball from Wizards forward Otto Porter Jr. and was elbowed in the face. Thomas calmly picked the tooth up off the floor and soldiered on.
