EA can make Madden games until 2026 after renewing its NFL deal

EA can make Madden games until 2026 after renewing its NFL deal Electronic Arts and the National Football League have agreed to extend their partnership for the Madden NFL series until 2026. That means the Madden games, including the current Madden NFL 20, will remain the only simulation-style football games — with photorealism, current players and official team names — sanctioned by the NFL. Along with the deal, both parties said they would develop a closer relationship with the aim to make Madden more true-to-life.

After a period of stagnation, ‘ Madden ’ continues to improve in ways that make it worth your time. After spending time with Madden NFL 20 , which releases for all major platforms on Aug. I am not a lover of commentary, because I play so much that it wears thin, but EA has at least put in the effort.

The exclusive agreement the NFL has with ea is no different than their exclusive agreement with nike for uniforms. Or if say the simpsons signed a contract to have their rights used in a certain type Two multi-billion dollar companies, I'm sure the lawyers make sure it's legal, even if it is through loop holes.

NFL owners are expected to re-up with EA Sports as the league's video game provider when they virtually congregate for a meeting next week, according to Ben Fischer of Sports Business Daily. The proposed extension, per Fischer, will give EA Sports the exclusive rights to produce and market NFL action video games through at least the 2025 season with a chance to extend through 2026.

The "Madden" franchise has been a staple for the league in the gaming world for years, but there was some thought that Take-Two Interactive, which currently produces the popular NBA 2K games, would become a threat to take those rights away from EA Sports, whose current contract expires after the 2021 season. Take-Two did have an NFL 2K game that was in direct competition with "Madden" beginning in 1999 and ran up to 2004 before EA Sports acquired the exclusive simulation rights in 2005.

The biggest Madden Bowl yet was won using run-only plays

The biggest Madden Bowl yet was won using run-only plays The 2020 Madden Bowl came to an end on May 16th, and it’ll be one to remember for a number of reasons. Raidel “Joke” Brito won the final match over Daniel “Dcroft” Mycroft in a 17-0 blowout through an unusual strategy that relied on run-only plays through the entire tournament — he didn’t throw a single pass. He didn’t even put a proper quarterback on the field, giving him more funds to put towards his other virtual players. It’s also emotionalIt’s also emotional victory for Brito. He dedicated the tournament to Taylor “SpotMe” Robertson, a a friend who died in the 2018 Madden tournament shooting in Jacksonville.

The Madden NFL 18 patch 1.04 has finally arrived, weighing in at roughly 2.5 GB. The Team Tab depth chart will now correctly re -order itself when returning a player early from injury. I literally have not played Madden in over a month waiting for the patch and to my dismay this is what we receive.

Rumors started to swirl about Take-Two Interactive's potential rise to unseat "Madden" earlier this offseason when the league announced a licensing agreement with the company to produce non-simulation NFL games. However, a battle for the league's NFL simulation rights, if this deal is approved upon, likely won't happen until at least 2026. According to Fischer, the possible one-year extension within the proposal for EA depends on the company "achieving certain revenue goals."

Of course, Take-Two Interactive could make a football video game at any point. Without having the NFL rights, however, folks couldn't use the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson or any other player, which does take a hugely attractive (and marketable) piece out of the equation.

John Madden against networks adding artificial crowd noise at games if there are no fans Madden believes the networks should work on capturing the sounds from the field"He said, 'When I first left the coaching profession and went to broadcasting, there was something about it that I just felt was missing and I couldn't really put my finger on it,'" Gaudelli said to The Athletic's Daniel Kaplan. "He said, 'Then I realized that I wasn't hearing the sound that I had grown accustomed to hearing — as a player and as a coach. I never coached from the box, I coached from the field.
