Live boxing events evidently will resume next month Boxing apparently will resume next month. Promoter Bob Arum said during a radio interview that he’s completing plans to stage “two or three events every week” with spectators in early June in one Las Vegas hotel on ESPN’s platforms beginning in early June. Arum’s compan y, Top Rank, is based there. And, in the U.K, a government plan to ease the coronavirus lock down seems to open the door for live shows – also behind closed doors – as early as June 1. Arum said during the interview, on SiriusXM’s “At that Fights,” that all necessary precautions would be taken. That includes extensive testing for the virus.

Fury holds the WBC belt, while AJ is the WBO, WBA and IBF champion, meaning the victor of a bout between the pair would be crowned unified, undisputed world champion.

And the Gypsy King has revealed how much he wants to fight AJ, with both fighters' teams working to ensure the pair finally face off in a historic clash.

But Fury has to face Wilder for a third time, after the Bronze Bomber triggered a rematch clause shortly after his defeat, while AJ has to face mandatory challenger Pulev next.

'If I get knocked out by Deontay Wilder, then it [the Joshua fight] won't be on, will it,' Fury told Sky Sports.

'It will be another fight with Wilder and so forth and so on. If he loses to Pulev, so close, but so far away. In heavyweight boxing, you can never count your chickens before they hatch, so one fight at a time. One victory at a time.

Why a Mike Tyson comeback is a horrible idea

Why a Mike Tyson comeback is a horrible idea Tyson’s videos, in which he’s shown hitting the mitts with coach Rafael Cordeiro, are almost certainly part of a product endorsement strategy, though the possibility exists that the former undisputed heavyweight champion could come back to compete in an exhibition for charity. Joshua famously suffered a devastating loss to outsider Andy Ruiz Jr when he was on the cusp of a mega-money showdown with Wilder.

Boxing has ground to a halt since the outbreak of the coronavirus, meaning plans for the Fury - AJ bout to be held this year have grown unlikely.

Joshua's promotor, Eddie Hearn, has revealed plans to host events at his Matchroom Boxing Headquarters. Hearn intends to stage fight nights on four consecutive Saturdays in the 15-acre grounds in Brentwood, Essex.

His £1million plan is to open with the all-Brit world title clash between Terri Harper and Natasha Jonas in mid-July, before closing with Dillian Whyte's WBC interim heavyweight title fight against Alexander Povetkin in the first or second Saturday in August.
