Bielefeld. The SC Verl has made it to the 3rd league. The East Westphalian regional league in the second leg against Northeast representative Lok Leipzig on Tuesday in the Bielefeld Schüco Arena was 1-1 after the 2-2 in the first leg in Leipzig.
The SC Verl has returned to third-class football after twelve years of absence. In the return leg of the promotion play-offs, the representative of the Regionalliga West in Bielefeld was satisfied with a 1-1 draw (0-1) due to the away goals rule against north-east participant Lok Leipzig. In the first leg last Thursday, the clubs in Leipzig had split 2-2.

The game was moved from Verl to Bielefeld because a lockdown had been imposed on the entire Gütersloh district - which also included Verl - as a result of the corona outbreak in the meat factory of ex-Schalke boss Clemens Tönnies in Rheda-Wiedenbrück.
