Juventus announced on Thursday that the Argentine's contract at the Allianz Stadium had been terminated by mutual agreement, bringing to an end a successful three year spell at the club during which he won three Serie A titles and scored 66 goals.

The move of the 32-year-old comes as no surprise, his working paper at Juve had already been dissolved last week. Higuain was informed a few weeks ago that the new Juve coach Andrea Pirlo no longer plans with him.

As announced, the veteran Argentina center-forward (32) has signed a contract with American side Inter Miami. The club, which English star David Beckham owns, formalized the deal through a press release and welcoming "El Pipita" to Florida.

Higuain becomes one of the so-called "Designated Players" in Miami, whose salary does not fall below the salary cap.

He moved to Juventus from SSC Napoli in 2016. It was awarded twice in the 2018/19 season, first to Milan and later to Chelsea. Higuain made a total of 149 competitive games for Juve (66 goals), last season he scored eleven goals in 44 appearances.

At Inter Miami, currently eleventh in the MLS Eastern Conference, Higuain will meet his former Juve teammate Blaise Matuidi, among others. The Frenchman moved from Turin to the Beckham club in mid-August, for which he has played two games so far.
