Detroit Lions set ugly history in loss to Packers

Detroit Lions set ugly history in loss to Packers The Detroit Lions are certainly known for setting unwanted records, and they’ve done it again on Sunday. © Michael McLoone-USA TODAY Sports The Detroit Lions' incompetence continues. The Lions jumped out to a 14-3 first quarter lead over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. It did not last, as the Packers stormed back to win 42-21 at Lambeau Field. Remarkably, that is the fourth consecutive game in which the Lions held a double-digit lead and then went on to lose, setting a new NFL record.

Ryan Joseph Fitzpatrick (born November 24, 1982), nicknamed Fitzmagic, is an American football quarterback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL).

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is interested in doing things very few quarterbacks have ever done before. In 2019, the 37-year-old veteran led his team in rushing yards, and only Lamar Jackson matched him in that particular feat. Fairly impressive on Fitzpatrick’s part, as he isn’t exactly known for his wheels.

On Thursday night, Fitzpatrick also completed a pass to himself — the throw was deflected by rookie linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, and Fitzpatrick took the deflection and started rumbling downfield.

5 observations from the Dolphins' 31-13 victory over the Jaguars This game had all the makings of a Thursday night blowout. One team was entering the contest without a win to their credit, while the other entered the game with a 1-1 record, had just played one of the best teams in their conference tough, and is seeing excitement about…It ended up a blowout, but not in the way people expected.

“You know what you can add to that, which rarely [happens]? If you look at a lot of footage of me you will rarely see me slide and today, I also slid, so you can throw that one in there,” Fitzpatrick said after the game. “That may not happen again all year, so there were a lot of different things. That was my third career reception. I was glad I actually got positive yards on that one. But I think running and trying to throw a block here and there and getting hit, that stuff helps me get into the game a little bit.”

Any time you can get yourself compared to Bob Griese, Dan Marino and Walter Payton in the same game, you’re shooting way below par.

When we call him “Fitzmagic,” this is why.

Are Dolphins preparing to start Tua Tagovailoa soon? .
It appears Brian Flores is laying the groundwork for an eventual switch to Tagovailoa , and while Fitzpatrick still is the favorite to start this week, it looks like his days are numbered. Flores also said he isn’t going to let the success of Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert affect his decision, but it certainly won’t help ease the pressure on him to make the move. He also said the injury Tua is coming off of has played a role in his caution, even though the fifth overall pick has “checked all the boxes” medically.
