Has Doug Pederson ‘reached his limit’ with Philadelphia Eagles?

Has Doug Pederson ‘reached his limit’ with Philadelphia Eagles? This isn’t a question of Pederson’s abilities as a head coach. He boasts a 38-27 career record in the regular season and the Eagles have made the playoffs in three consecutive years. Keep in mind, Pederson has done all of this with his franchise quarterback often hurt and impact players on both sides of the ball sidelined. He is also very familiar with the grueling lifestyle that comes with being at the highest level. He spent his entire playing career as a backup quarterback, playing for six different organizations.

Eagles wideout Jalen Reagor has run into more injury trouble. The first-round pick has a torn thumb UCL, the team announced Wednesday.

While Reagor returned to action in Week 2 after suffering this injury, it will likely sideline the young pass catcher for multiple games. The injury follows Reagor’s shoulder trouble, which kept him out for much of training camp. It is the latest blow to an Eagles team that has run into extensive injury issues on offense.

49ers QB Nick Mullens to start Week 3 vs. Giants

49ers QB Nick Mullens to start Week 3 vs. Giants San Francisco received multiple trade offers from rival NFL teams this offseason for Mullens, adding to the interest the league showed in the signal-caller during the 2019 season. Fortunately, the 49ers turned down every inquiry they received and will have a dependable quarterback running their offense in Week 3.If Mullens were to suffer an injury on Sunday, with the team playing on the same field where multiple players went down, third-string quarterback C.J. Beathard would take over. Beathard is one of the best No. 3 quarterbacks in the NFL and is very familiar with Shanahan’s offense.

Already down Alshon Jeffery coming into the season, Philadelphia has lost three starting offensive linemen — Brandon Brooks, Andre Dillard and Isaac Seumalo — and was without Lane Johnson and Miles Sanders in Week 1.

A similar injury sidelined Drew Brees for five games last season. While Reagor may not need that much time to return to action, IR certainly would be a possibility. This would be a familiar sight for the Eagles, who were down each of their top three receivers late last season. That helped prompt the team to use its first-round pick on Reagor.
