Every MLB team has known the mood swings of the playoffs, and every MLB team , except one, knows what it’s like to end a postseason series with a loss. MORE: Most iconic moment for every MLB team . But some bad memories linger longer — and sting hotter — than others. Those are the worst .

The MLB postseason wouldn't be the same without the game-changing screw-ups—here are the worst of them all. Every once in a while, a player, team or even an umpire can come along and screw up at the absolute worst possible moment to change the outcome of a series.

Joe Burrow has some VIPs in his corner as he works through his rookie season in the NFL.

The Cincinnati Bengals are visiting the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Burrow is having a nice rookie season at quarterback for Cincinnati, and he aspires to have the success of former Colts No. 1 overall pick Peyton Manning.

On Wednesday, Burrow expressed his appreciation for the Manning family and specifically said that Archie has supported him this season:

NFL implements COVID policy changes; Raiders players fined In response to the growing number of positive COVID-19 tests around the league, the NFL is taking action. In a call with all 32 teams the league office laid out a slew of new policy changes, and sternly warned teams about the consequences of not following them. © Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports In the memo recapping the call, which you can read courtesy of this tweet from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, they laid out some new protocols.

The winning team ultimately outscored the losing team by a single run. Too bad for them that he wasn't. The sidewinding left-hander allowed only one run in 16 innings in Games 1 Although it didn't happen in a proper postseason series, you'll have to excuse us for thinking that Bobby Thomson's

“That family is a great family. Archie texts me every week, win or lose. Last week he texted me ‘head up.’ He told me that Eli’s rookie year he played the Ravens and had a 0.00 QBR. Archie texts me every week, and that means a lot to not only me, but my family as well.”

Archie was the No. 2 overall pick by New Orleans in 1971 out of Ole Miss. The Saints struggled during his time there, and he was sacked over 300 times, so he can relate to what Burrow is going through on the 1-3-1 Bengals.

In addition to Archie, Burrow says he has heard from Peyton Manning and receives regular support from Kurt Warner.

“Those guys want to help, and it would be dumb not to take advantage of those opportunities,” Burrow said.

Back in February, Burrow shared that he was receiving help from Archie and Archie’s sons, Cooper and Peyton.

NFL reportedly discussing playoff bubble following coronavirus cases

NFL reportedly discussing playoff bubble following coronavirus cases The NFL has already postponed one game and had players test positive for the coronavirus on multiple teams, which has led to talk of potentially needing a bubble plan going forward. That is still on the table, at least for the postseason. © Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports Discussions about playing games in a postseason bubble have picked up for the NFL internally, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The most viable plan would involve the two conference championship games being played in a bubble.

If the 2020 MLB season happens, it will be a much shorter sprint than usual between Opening Day and the playoffs. If and when we get there, we'll undoubtedly be treated to some scintillating October suspense. While we wait and hope, let's gaze back and highlight the most iconic postseason moment

The connection with Burrow and Cooper Manning might actually have another larger implication. But the willingness of the Manning family and others to help Burrow plays a big role in helping the NFL grow and remain in good hands.

Francisco Lindor: 'Of course' Indians can afford to re-sign me .
Lindor’s right that cash isn’t in short supply for the Indians or any other team; however, in the wake of a coronavirus-shortened season, the Indians might be less willing than ever about giving up huge money for a single player. Lindor could command a long-term deal upward of $300M in guarantees, so it’s difficult to envision the Indians keeping him for years to come.
