Was there outside interference in Cody Parkey’s missed field goal in the Eagles’ win over the Bears? On first glance it looks like your run-of-the-mill shanked kick — with a double- doink thrown in for All-22 footage clearly shows Treyvon Hester got a piece of Cody Parkey’s final FG attempt vs

There have been plenty of “doink” noises on field goal attempts over the years, with those attempts usually bouncing off either an upright or the crossbar. But the Rice Owls (playing their first game of the year after six games cancelled or postponed thanks to COVID-19 concerns) elevated the degree of difficulty there Saturday with a quadruple-doink field goal attempt from kicker Colin Riccitelli in the first overtime against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders:

After that, Rice still got another chance in double overtime, and Riccitelli made an attempt from 35 yards out. But that drew a flag, and when Riccitelli tried again from 40 yards out, his kick was blocked. And on the Blue Raiders’ next possession, quarterback Asher O’Hara picked up a 14-yard touchdown run to seal the game:
