The future of Kevin Magnussen seems to be decided: According to information from 'Motorsport-Total.com '' Will compete in the US sports car series IMSA for Chip Ganassi's team in 2021. The 28-year-old will be one of the regular drivers in the Cadillac DPi-V.R.

In the USA, Magnussen already asked around in October at all IndyCar teams that still have a seat available. Haas team boss Günther Steiner also reports that he stood up for his driver: "I'm friends with Kevin on a personal level and have therefore tried something."

Although he does not know the latest developments, Steiner confirms that Magnussen had asked around in the USA. "I have very good relationships there, so I've spoken to a few people. But I don't know what the status quo is."

Magnussen's problem with his search in the formula series: He hardly has any financially strong sponsors. Therefore, he had to reorient himself and started talks with Chip Ganassi about joining his IMSA team, which will start again with Cadillac in 2021 after a year break.
