Canelo Alvarez is scheduled to challenge WBA super middleweight titleholder Callum Smith on Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

That means he will have fought for major championships at three different weights in his last three fights. He unified three 160-pound titles with his decision over Danny Jacobs in May of last year and won a 175-pound belt by stopping Sergey Kovalev in 11 rounds in November 2019.

No one can question Alvarez’s willingness to challenge himself.
