The German shooting star Tim Stützle scored his first NHL goal in the second game.

The former Mannheimer hit his Ottawa Senators 2: 3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the last third with a slap shot to the final score.

"I have more confidence and have felt better compared to my debut," said the 19-year-old. "I'm a creative player, I want to have the puck and go." Trainer D.J. Smith was full of praise: "He'll be a very good player, you can see his speed."

Stützle was most recently named the best striker of the tournament at the Junior World Championship. Like the German star player Leon Draisaitl, he was drawn to third place in the draft.

Draisaitl himself conceded a 1: 5 against the Montreal Canadiens with the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night and remained without a goal.
