The NHL has postponed another game , this time between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders Tuesday night. The release explains as follows This will be the 15th game postponed so far this season and fourth in the East Division just over the past two days. The Devils will be shut down for at least a week while they try to contain the spread. The Sabres are scheduled to play the Islanders again on Thurdsay, before heading to Boston for a Saturday night game against the Bruins.

The New Jersey Devils will have all their games through at least Feb . 6 postponed due to four additional players being added to the NHL’s COVID Protocol Related Absence List on Monday. The Devils played back-to-back games against the Sabres in Buffalo on Saturday and Sunday. Center Travis Zajac missed Saturday's game after a positive test and forward Kyle Palmieri did not play Sunday after a positive test. On Monday, Andreas Johnsson, Janne Kuokkanen, Michael McLeod and Pavel Zacha all tested positive.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The NHL has postponed the Sabres ’ home game against the New York Rangers on Friday night due to a severe lake-effect storm hitting the Buffalo region. The league made the announcement Thursday and said a makeup date has not yet been determined. The decision comes while many communities south and east of downtown Buffalo have been blanked by a storm that has dumped 5 feet of snow since Monday.
