Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently updated its official rankings in the wake of the UFC Vegas 25 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place last Sat. night (May 1, 2021) inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Not surprisingly, Jiri Prochazka climbed to the No. 2 spot, thanks to a brutal elbow finish over former light heavyweight title contender Dominick Reyes (highlights here). In addition, kickboxing standout Giga Chikadze cracked the Top 10 by folding featherweight veteran Cub Swanson (replay here).

Here’s how the rankings are compiled:

Pressure off: Kyle Busch, Beshore check win box at Kansas, strive for more The numbers generated by Kyle Busch in a sweepingly successful weekend at Kansas Speedway were bulky and brag-worthy. His win tallies rose to a series-leading 61 in Camping World Trucks and another 58 in the Cup Series, tying him with Kevin Harvick for ninth all-time there. Rankings were generated by a voting panel made up of media members. The media members were asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight-class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings.

MLB Power Rankings: Dodgers Finally Dethroned .
Los Angeles has lost three consecutive series for the first time since 2017, and have accordingly relinquished their stranglehold on our power rankings. View the original article to see embedded media. No use in burying the lede—the champs are on their way down. After a brutal stretch when they’ve lost 10 out of 14, the previously impervious-seeming Dodgers are suddenly starting to show warts. Is it panic time at Chavez Ravine? Not exactly, but it’s worth commemorating the passing of the torch for the top spot in SI’s esteemed power rankings.Championships are not handed out in May, however, so fear not, Dodgers fans.
