Toronto Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr. blasts three home runs vs. Washington Nationals

Toronto Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr. blasts three home runs vs. Washington Nationals Toronto Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 22, does something his Hall of Fame father never did with his three-homer game vs. Washington Nationals.Just 42 days after celebrating his 22nd birthday, Guerrero became the youngest player since at least 1901 to record three homers and seven RBI in the same game. And he hit two of them against one of the best pitchers in the majors, three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals.

There is some news from the Jays today.

Reese McGuire is ‘waiting to clear protocols and be activated’. I was thinking he would be joining the taxi squad (and wouldn’t have to be added to the 40-man roster), but the term activated sounds like he’ll be joining the roster. Not sure what he will do to pass the time while waiting.

I’ve been waiting for the Jays lineup, but I add it when it appears.

Opening Day for the Bisons. Here is the lineup. The game is on MiLB TV. It is a $40.00 US charge for the season.

The Fisher Cats start their season tonight too. The opening day lineup:

And here is Dunedin’s opening day lineup:

I haven’t seen Vancouver’s lineup.

Vladimir Guerrero tweets the perfect reaction to Vlad Jr’s 3 HR game .
Vladimir Guerrero Jr had himself a game on Tuesday night, and his father couldn’t have been prouder. Getting old as a sports fan means watching the children of stars you grew up idolizing stepping out of their father’s shadow. We’re not witnessing the generational passing of the torch in baseball for the first time, as Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey both followed in their father's footsteps, but it seems we're experiencing an influx of next-gen talent. In a league that includes Fernando Tatis Jr. and Cavan Biggio, perhaps no one is a more famous prince that Vladimir Geurerro Jr. Fun fact: The Toronto Blue Jays claim not only Vlad Jr.
