Rugged guard Bruce Brown got the starting nod in place of Harden and was solid, while reserve guard Mike James once again was a critical factor. He only scored 10 points, but the Nets were +30 with him on the floor. Brooklyn held the Bucks to a season-low 86 points in the Game 2 win. Nobody really played well in Game 2, but for the second straight game Khris Middleton was terrible. He took the most shots on the team, but he made just 7 of 20 attempts and was a team worst -30. I am not sure what the coach can do , but if he doesn’t figure out something he is probably going to get fired for it.

Brooklyn fought back in the second quarter and cut Milwaukee’s lead to just three points at halftime. Early in the second half tempers flared as P.J. Tucker and Kevin Durant went face-to-face.

Dating back to the regular season, Brooklyn had won 11 of its previous 12 games before dropping back-to-back contests in Milwaukee. The Nets return to Barclays Center on Tuesday, where they haven't lost since April, although the team will be shorthanded with Kyrie Irving (ankle) out. James Harden (hamstring), however, is attempting to return to the lineup and he's officially listed as questionable.

The Nets broke down the Bucks ' defense off the dribble all night, setting up uncontested shots that they mostly made. Brooklyn shot 52% from the field and was 21 for 42 from 3-point range. The Bucks swept their first-round series against Miami but need a big turnaround when they get back home to avoid being swept themselves now. “We feel like we’re better than the way we’re playing and we know that,” guard Jrue Holiday said. “But at this point, we can’t really be down. We’ve got to stay positive.” Khris Middleton added 17 points after a slow start to the series and Holiday had 13.

Tucker and Durant have been going back and forth all series and it finally boiled over. However, it wasn’t Tucker nor Durant who stole the headlines during their scuffle on Thursday night.

No, that belonged to a security guard. The security guard raced into the middle of the fracas to try to separate players.

Check it out.

Generally when there is a confrontation like this on the court, players from both teams and thee referees eventually police themselves. Every now and then assistant coaches are needed to break up a potential fight as well.

However, it’s extremely rare to see a security race onto the court to try and separate the players. Thankfully there was no further harm done – like most confrontations in the NBA.

Milwaukee desperately needs a win tonight to have any chance of staying in the series.

Can Giannis Antetokounmpo seize the moment in Game 7 against Brooklyn? .
Disaster always feels like it’s around the corner from the Milwaukee Bucks, a team that loves dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight in elimination games. It feels surer than ever that given the evidence and health of the participants, the Bucks are the better and deeper team compared to the Brooklyn Nets. Durant’s extraordinary ability offsets what the Nets lack in physical grit, sweat equity and star power, but Giannis Antetokounmpo’s relentlessness can even the scales or even push the Bucks over top considering the circumstances. It’s Antetokounmpo’s moment to seize, and just getting to a Game 7 isn’t going to cut it.
