UEFA Euro schedule 2021: Complete dates, times, TV channels to watch every game in USA

UEFA Euro schedule 2021: Complete dates, times, TV channels to watch every game in USA The UEFA European Championship, also known as the Euros or Euro 2021, will feature 24 nations battling over an entire month for the crown of best team on the continent. ABC, ESPN, Univision and TUDN will stream and broadcast the matches in the USA.A total of 24 European nations will do battle during the month-long event, with the champion crowned on Sunday, July 11. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal is the reigning champion. France is the bookmakers’ favorite and Belgium come into the event as the No. 1 ranked team in the world. A handful of other countries are always contenders: England, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Denmark returned to the pitch this Thursday afternoon for its second match in the group stage. Of course, the team is without star midfielder Christian Eriksen since he’ s still recovering in the hospital. Despite not having Eriksen on the field with them, Denmark came out and attacked Belgium with purpose, scoring a goal in the second minute of play. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg managed to hold off a challenge and fire over a pass to Yussuf Poulsen, who had no trouble getting the ball past Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Denmark had the better of play without really threatening Russia before Mikkel Damsgaard intervened with a violently brilliant strike in the 38th minute, taking aim from outside the penalty area to blast a dipping effort over international rookie Matvei Safonov. Worse was to come after the break when Kuzyayev received a pass from Safonov in a seemingly harmless position on the left flank inside his own half, looked up and then decided to turn back and play a disastrous ball back to his helpless goalkeeper.

Denmark have been the story of Euro 2020 ever since star midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed in Matchday 1 against Finland. But after losing to Finland and Belgium, the Danes are putting on a masterclass against Russia today.

The game was played in Denmark’s capital city of Copenhagen in the team’s longtime stadium, Parken Stadium. They needed a win to have a hope of staying alive – and some help from Belgium against Finland.

Mikkel Damsgaard, a 20-year-old striker,  got Denmark off to a great start in the first half, scoring a worldie of a goal to take a 1-0 lead. Things were looking up in the second half as striker Yussuf Poulsen scored a second to give them a 2-0 lead.

Denmark team doctor says Christian Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest at Euro 2020: 'He was gone'

Denmark team doctor says Christian Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest at Euro 2020: 'He was gone' Christian Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest after he collapsed during a Euro 2020 match on Saturday. The Danish midfielder is in stable condition now.On Sunday, the Denmark team doctor informed reporters Eriksen actually underwent cardiac arrest at one point during his medical emergency.

Incredible . Denmark will be champions of the heart this year! Feels incredibly emotional, props to the danes. Incredible scenes. God we need fans backkkkkkkkk.

Very important goal, Denmark has a chance to qualify! Denmark now has neutral GD, which means a loss by 1 goal to France would put us tied with them in the 3rd place table (not sure what' s the next criteria after GD). If they score another one, then they'll always be ahead of us if we lose to France.

But when Russia scored on a penalty kick and a Belgium goal was ruled offsides to preserve a 0-0 tie, Danish fans got understandably nervous. Thankfully, two sensational goals from Denmark’s Andreas Christensen and Joakim Maehle secured a 4-1 Denmark victory.

Several countries over, two goals from Belgium delivered a second-place finish to the Danes, ensuring their first trip to the Euro knockout round since 2004.

And just about everyone loved to see it:

With their win and second-place finish in Group B, Denmark are set to play Wales in the Round of 16.

Whether or not they make a deep run in the tournament, the Danes have quickly become an international fan favorite.

Christian Eriksen would be proud.
