The 6’9 combo forward flirted with last year’s draft but chose to stay in Baton Rouge last season, registering 16.3 points, 7.4 boards, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals.

Watford’s offensive ability outweighs his defensive prowess. He is described as a natural scorer with good instincts while boasting a 240-pound frame and a 7’2 wingspan.

Damian Lillard trade rumors: Trail Blazers star denies trade request, hasn't made 'firm decision' about future Damian Lillard wants to stay in Portland, but he wants to play for a contender. Can he and the Trail Blazers figure out a way to make that happen? But at the same time, he hasn't decided his preferred path for the 2021-22 NBA season either.

Doing a little bit of everything as one of the Tigers’ three key offensive threats as a sophomore, Watford showed the ability to score opportunistically around the rim, exploited slower big man on the perimeter, took smaller forwards in the post, and ranked among the most prolific players in the country converting floaters in the paint. A versatile offensive player, Watford scored in bunches on several notable occasions, but still has room to grow as a jump shooter to round-out his skill set.

Unfortunately, the 20-year-old does have limitations on the other side of the ball.

Holding his own one-on-one more consistently inside than on the perimeter, Watford was still learning how to give himself a cushion against quicker guards and finish plays as a sophomore.

Keljin Blevins and TJ Leaf filled the Blazers’ two-way spots last season.
