Morstead was released by New Orleans in March. It was an emotional split for both side since he was an important member of the Saints for over a decade.

Chris Gronkowski recently told TMZ Sports that his brother, Rob Gronkowski, will officially retire when Brady does. Morstead finished his Saints career as the franchise’s all-time leader in punts, punting yards and yards per punt. His best days might be behind him, but he’s confident that he can bounce back from an uncharacteristic 2020 season.
“I didn’t have a great year last year, and all I can promise is that I’ll do everything I can to be back where I’m capable.”
The Jets will face the Saints later this year, so there’s a strong chance that Morstead will get to play against his former team.

Report: Cowboys WR Michael Gallup out three to five weeks with calf strain .
Assuming Gallup lands on IR, he will first be eligible to return for the Week 5 home game against the New York Giants on Oct. 10. Gallup finished Thursday's outing with four receptions for 36 yards before the injury, but it was quarterback Dak Prescott who stole the show coming off the compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle he suffered last October. Prescott completed 42-of-58 passes for 403 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the losing effort, and he wasn't at all slowed by the shoulder problem that first bothered him in late July.
