One pressing quarterback question for each of the 32 NFL teams entering the 2021 season With less than a week left until the start of the NFL regular season, each team has some questions behind center that will need to be resolved. However, there are a good deal of unknowns, even for teams with some of the most proven quarterbacks.

Most NFL teams have convinced themselves that what they are doing is the 21st century equivalent of the Manhattan Project, so opening training camp up to a documentary camera crew is never going to be a popular idea. I think the concerns about football secrecy are overblown, however, as the show Those issues would have existed even without Hard Knocks , but it couldn't have helped a young team trying to turn things around after a long stretch of bad football . While I can understand why the league likes the show (and of course, I watch every year), if I were a GM, I wouldn't touch Hard Knocks with

The season premiere of Hard Knocks put much of its focus on the stars. Consider Azur Kamara, the undersized defensive end who was just a boy when his family fled the Ivory Coast as it was being torn apart by civil war. He was a refugee in New Guinea before his family settled in Arizona, attending a school where everyone spoke a language he didn't know.

While sports docuseries are becoming increasingly popular, the longtime HBO series "Hard Knocks" could be at risk of getting knocked out of production.

After 16 seasons, NFL fans seem ready to put the show out of its misery.

Fans chimed in after Adam Schefter reported there would be an "announcement" concerning the future of the show during the Thursday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and and the Washington Football Team.

NFL : National Football League News & Discussion. Well their entire coaching staff earns a massive FU from a lot of fans due to the presence of notorious asshole Gregg Williams as the defensive coordinator. I think out of all the Hard Knocks I have seen and this including Joe Philbin It just feels like the players hear the same exact lectures screamed at them and it starts to lose its meaning.

Tomlin surely does not want to find out just how many viewers the Steelers would attract by appearing on " Hard Knocks ." He is as closely guarded about his team's inner workings as any coach, and Tomlin loves training camp because it minimizes distractions with players living in dorm rooms and abiding by curfews at the small college that has hosted the Steelers every Funny, that Polamalu played every snap this season. But it ' s hard to blame him for withdrawing from a game that should have been put out of its misery by now and replaced with some sort of showcase anchored by a skills competition.

Fans speculated as to whether this was an extension of the preseason-based series into the entire NFL season, expanded coverage of two teams rather than one, or a cancellation of the show altogether.

Others called for the docuseries to focus instead on Bishop Sycamore, a reportedly fictitious Ohio high school football program.

NFL fans are done with "Hard Knocks" after the 2021 Dallas Cowboys season

Started in 2001, HBO's "Hard Knocks" has charted the plight of an NFL team as they hope to ascend as a true post-season contender.

The name comes from the show's requirements: teams that haven't reached the playoffs in the past two years qualify, while teams with a first-year head coach or who have appeared in the past ten years are exempt.

This year, the Dallas Cowboys qualified: the once-powerful NFC East franchise was brought to its knees last season with the sidelining of quarterback Dak Prescott. That, along with a myriad of other issues, led the team to a 6-10 record and third place in their division.

Like every season, there were several "Hard Knocks" characters that the show spotlighted: make-or-break players on the bubble who needed a strong preseason to survive roster cuts.

In the 2021 Cowboys edition, all the highlighted players were relegated to the practice squad except for explosive defensive end Azur Kamara.

During the preseason, Kamara recorded four total tackles. He also had what would have been a game-winning sack had a flag not been called that invalidated the play. Kamara was listed as inactive during the Week 1 opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite the endearing player profiles, the real star of "Hard Knocks" was Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs' son, Aaiden.

Nonetheless, Hard Knocks' popularity is waning, and has been for quite some time. If there were ever a time to end it with a bang, it's now.
