Chiefs S Tyrann Mathieu still a COVID-19 absence, status for Browns game unknown

Chiefs S Tyrann Mathieu still a COVID-19 absence, status for Browns game unknown Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo suggested Thursday he has a "plan A" and "plan B" depending on Mathieu's status by Sunday afternoon.Per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk, Mathieu was once again not spotted at practice Friday. This implies the 29-year-old is, at best, questionable for Sunday's home matchup against what is perceived to be a fellow playoff contender.

Washington signed Miller off the Bears practice squad in December 2020, and he agreed to a one-year deal with the team in March 2021.

Before tearing his ACL, Miller was a productive running back for the Texans and Miami Dolphins. He ran for 800-plus yards in six straight seasons and surpassed 1,000 yards in two of those campaigns.

Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic are projected to be Washington's top two running backs this season, with Peyton Barber also set to see some time.
