MLB on Hunter Renfroe's COVID testing claims: 'Completely wrong and inaccurate'
The Red Sox also refuted Renfroe's comments."MLB basically told us to stop the testing and just treat the symptoms," Renfroe said Thursday on WEEI's "Merloni and Fauria" show (h/t ESPN's Joon Lee). Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale trolls himself for being in favor of the team's yellow City Connect alternate uniforms.
It's been a little over five years since pitcher Chris Sale wasthe throwback jerseys because he thought that they were uncomfortable. That was back in 2016, and now in 2021 Sale is a member of the and he poked fun over actually liking Boston's yellow alternate uniforms.
Maybe yellow is just Sale's favorite color because the Red Sox's uniforms are much more questionable than the White Sox's throwback uniforms that he refused to wear.

Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale is in favor of the team's yellow jerseys
Sale had Tommy John surgery in 2020 and made hisin August after not playing since the 2019 season, so maybe he only likes the team's because he's simply happy to be playing again.
Boston's yellow jerseys were designed around a Boston Marathon theme and were first worn by the team back in April.
If the Red Sox are winning games in their yellow and blue jerseys, I'd make the decision to keep wearing them, too. However, the White Sox throwback jerseys that Sale took a hard stance against looked more appealing than the Red Sox's yellow jerseys.
If the season ended today, Boston would take on theat Fenway Park in the AL Wild Card game. Imagine if the Red Sox beat the Yankees at home in a thriller to extend their season.. in yellow and blue jerseys.
Maybe then New York would be the one cutting up jerseys. Either way, keep sharp objects out of Sale's reach.
Red Sox slugger J.D. Martinez on roster for ALDS vs. Rays .
Martinez suffered somewhat of a freak sprained left ankle in this past Sunday's regular-season finale at the Washington Nationals when he tripped on second base while running out to patrol right field. He was playing in the outfield because Boston was the road team and National League clubs don't use the designated hitter for home games. The AP added Boston used Martinez as a DH for 113 contests during the campaign. Depending on his health and what else occurs throughout October, Martinez may not be asked to play the field again until the World Series. The 34-year-old slashed .286/.349/.
