Sport Fantasy QB Rankings Week 6: Who to start, sit at quarterback in fantasy football
Fantasy Waiver Wire Week 4: TEs Dalton Schultz, Zach Ertz among top free agent pickups after Monday night breakouts
Dalton Schultz and Zach Ertz vaulted themselves into the TE1 conversation after big Monday night performances. Both will be among the top Week 4 fantasy waiver wire pickups. See more potential free agent adds after waivers clear on Wednesday morning. Our full free agent list has even more of these types of players, including the recently reinstated Josh Gordon. Again, these are mostly free agent pickups, so don't get too excited. We do have some Week 4-specific streamers, including a few QBs, several TEs, and a bunch of D/STs (which will be important this week). You can find the streamer suggestions at the end of the list.
We're onto Week 6 as we welcome the start of NFL bye weeks. At quarterback, there are usually enough decent options unless there's a brutal combination of quarterbacks out, but this week isn't so bad in terms of byes. However, matchups and injuries are still thinning out the rankings, making it somewhat difficult to find 12 worthwhile starters in our Week 6 fantasy QB rankings.
To begin, we'll note Jameis Winston, Matt Ryan, Zach Wilson, and Trey Lance/Jimmy Garoppolo are all on byes, so those are the guys off the table. Luckily, none have been all that attractive to start this year anyway, so it's unlikely anyone was starting them every week in single-QB leagues.
Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Josh Jacobs, Dalvin Cook, Darrell Henderson, more affecting Week 4 start 'em, sit 'em calls
Josh Jacobs, Dalvin Cook, Darrell Henderson, and Elijah Mitchell could all be "questionable" leading into this weekend's games. Their absences would surely affect Week 4 fantasy RB rankings and start-sit calls. Get the latest RB injury updates. For all the latest fantasy news, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.
WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
Kyler Murray (@ Browns), Lamar Jackson (vs. Chargers), Dak Prescott (vs. Cowboys), and Justin Herbert (vs. Ravens) are notable studs with tough matchups this week, but none can be benched. Russell Wilson (@ Steelers) would've been on this list, but sadly he's on the shelf for the foreseeable future because of a hand injury. Geno Smith is off limits for the time being.
WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Among attractive streamers, Sam Darnold (vs. Vikings) and Taylor Heinicke (vs. Chiefs) have both produced solid fantasy performances this year and can do so against some bottom-dweller defenses even though they're both coming off their worst performances off the season. Consider both decent streamers. Daniel Jones (vs. Rams) has a tough matchup on paper, but he is also a streaming option if healthy. His dual-threat upside can give him value against anyone, but he suffered a nasty head injury last week, so he might out this week, too. Lower-tier streamers include Carson Wentz (vs. Texans) and Mac Jones (vs. Cowboys).
Fantasy Football Injury Updates: Latest news on Julio Jones, A.J. Brown, Diontae Johnson, more affecting Week 4 WR rankings
Julio Jones, A.J. Brown, Diontae Johnson, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Sterling Shepard, and Darius Slayton are all in danger of not playing in Week 4. Get the latest injury updates ahead of your fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em decisions. For all the latest fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy. For updates on banged-up RBs Dalvin Cook, Josh Jacobs, Darrell Henderson, and Elijah Mitchell, click here; for the latest on Lamar Jackson, go here; for more on ailing pass-catchers Rob Gronkowski, George Kittle, DeAndre Hopkins, and Antonio Brown, go here.
Kirk Cousins (@ Panthers), Derek Carr (@ Broncos), Ryan Tannehill (vs. Bills), and Teddy Bridgewater (vs. LV) have been solid options in some weeks this season, but their matchups look to be difficult in Week 6. Jacoby Brissett (@ Jaguars), Ben Roethlisberger (vs. Seahawks), and Jared Goff (vs. Bengals) have decent matchups on the surface, but they're tough to trust. It wouldn't be a complete surprise to see any of them have a decent game, though, so don't completely write them off if you're trying to force in a mediocre QB in a tough matchup.
Just as a side note, what a week it is for the top dogs Josh Allen (@ Titans) and Patrick Mahomes (@ Washington). Those two have some of the most favorable matchups possible, so it should be a fun week for the very top of the position.
In superflex/two-QB leagues, you might've been relying on one of the quarterbacks who are off in Week 6. Now that byes are beginning, the deeper part of our rankings will have much more meaning. Just looking ahead, this was one of the more mild bye weeks as far as its effect at the top of the rankings. It will get worse, so enjoy this while you can.
Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Tee Higgins, Julio Jones, A.J. Brown more affecting Week 5 WR rankings
Tee Higgins, Julio Jones, A.J. Brown, and Chase Claypool are all question marks heading into Week 5. If they play, they'll have a big effect on fantasy WR rankings and start-or-sit decisions. Get the latest injury updates here. For all the latest fantasy news, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.
Note: We'll be updating these QB rankings as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest changes and analysis.

Fantasy Football Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Week 6 lineup advice, best matchups, DFS picks .
The bye weeks have started, injuries are mounting, and there's another Sunday morning game in the UK. You need lineup advice, and we have it. Get help with your Week 6 fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions and NFL DFS picks. As we said, the first round of byes takes out the Saints, 49ers, Falcons, and Jets. All things considered, fantasy owners aren't getting hit too hard at most positions, especially wide receiver. Things will get tougher going forward, so it's really injuries to guys like Saquon Barkley, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Russell Wilson that will cause the most issues.
