Thelost yet another offensive lineman this week. On Friday morning, it was reported that
Fulton was a former sixth-round draft pick from Tennessee. He started his NFL career with Kansas City Chiefs and then spent three years with the Houston Texans before signing with the Giants.
Since this is the third time this week that a veteran player on New York’s roster has retired, there’s been some rumors that Joe Judge is way too hard on his players in training camp. However, those concerns were just put to rest.
Saints pursuing CBs, interested in Jaguars’ C.J. Henderson
New Orleans returns Marshon Lattimore, but previous starter Janoris Jenkins became one of the Saints' cap casualties this offseason. Interestingly, the Saints did acquire multiple corners — in third-rounder Paulson Adebo and veteran slot defender Brian Poole — this year. Adding Henderson or someone else on this level would certainly change the equation for the reigning NFC South champs, who made efforts to trade up for Jaycee Horn and Patrick Surtain II this year.Subscribe to Yardbarker's Morning Bark, the most comprehensive newsletter in sports.
NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo is reporting that Fulton retired because his body wasn’t able to keep up with his spirit.
“Spoke to a source on this and am told it’s the same for Zach Fulton as Joe Looney,” Garafolo said. “The spirit was willing but the body wasn’t.”

Judge, meanwhile, told reporters that these sudden retirements are often intertwined with personal matters at home.
“These are tough decisions on guys,” Judge said. “As you get vets later in their career, they started training camp, it’s not uncommon for this to happen. Now, you don’t want it to happen, but you have to respect the decision each person makes for their family.”
It’s been a bizarre week for the G-Men, there’s no doubt about it.
