Washington Nationals sued by ex-employees over vaccine firing The Washington Nationals are being sued by two former employees who were fired for refusing to comply with the team’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Lawrence (Larry) Pardo and Brad Holman were pitching coaches in the Nats’ organization. The two refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine for religious reasons and were fired by the Nats as a result. The team instituted a mandate on Aug. 12 that went into effect on Sept. 10, leading to the firing of both men.Now the two have filed a lawsuit against the club, TMZ Sports reports.

Brian Johnson was our QB when we beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl . Sucks to see a player transfer but he wasn't getting any playing time. Good luck to him wherever he ends up! Texas A&M reserve linebacker Brian Johnson has put his name into the NCAA transfer portal , per source.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron confirmed with reporters that he met with Brennan on Monday and the quarterback informed him he intends to enter the transfer portal . Brennan was expected to take the reins as the Tigers’ starting quarterback after Joe Burrow moved on to the NFL after LSU ’s national LSU already announced that Orgeron will not return as head coach next season. With uncertainty heading into 2022 and Johnson still having multiple years of eligibility remaining, Brennan is going to see if he can get on the field elsewhere. “Things happened where he thought he had to move on and

LSU will have a new starting quarterback in 2022.

Max Johnson tweeted Tuesday night that he's putting his name in the transfer portal. Johnson played in all 12 of LSU’s games in 2021 and was 225-of-373 passing for 2,814 yards and 27 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Johnson, the son of former NFL QB Brad Johnson, had one of the best games of his LSU career in the team’s win over Texas A&M on Nov. 27. He was 22-of-38 for 306 yards and threw three interceptions. The Tigers’ 27-24 win got the team to 6-6 and bowl eligible. LSU will play Kansas State in the Texas Bowl on Jan. 4.

Cincinnati HC Luke Fickell reportedly not interested in USC job

Cincinnati HC Luke Fickell reportedly not interested in USC job Many have viewed Fickell as a natural candidate for USC. While Cincinnati is having an outstanding season and should receive College Football Playoff consideration, there is also the athletic director connection. USC AD Mike Bohn was the AD at Cincinnati when Fickell was hired as head coach there in 2017. USC boosters might be hoping Bohn can convince Fickell to take the job, but it doesn’t sound likely.Fickell is currently focused on stating the case for Cincinnati to be considered one of the four-best teams in the country.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron said Monday that the quarterback will enter the transfer portal . A fifth-year senior, Brennan has one year of eligibility remaining due to the COVID-19 waiver. Brennan could also apply for a medical redshirt. “He was teary-eyed and it was a tough decision for him,” Orgeron said. Brennan was set to compete with Max Johnson for the staring quarterback job. Oft injured in his career, Brennan broke his non-throwing arm days before the start of preseason practice while preparing for a fishing tournament. The injury required surgery and has kept Brennan sidelined ever since.

As an early enrollee freshman back in late 2019, Max Johnson had a front row seat to watch Joe Burrow and Myles Brennan prepare for a national championship game. The young, wide eyed freshman had just watched Burrow and company bulldoze their way through Oklahoma and was sitting in Johnson remembers flipping through the notebook and noticing how Burrow crafted his notes in preparing for the Auburn game specifically. The notes weren't all that detailed, mentioning various four down and three down looks Burrow could exploit. "I guess it was all in his head," Johnson said.

With Johnson transferring, the Tigers will be without both him and coach Ed Orgeron. LSU will be coached by interim coach Brad Davis as the Tigers transition from Ed Orgeron to Brian Kelly. Orgeron was informed that he would be fired at the end of the season during the 2021 campaign and LSU hired Kelly from Notre Dame to replace him.

Johnson's younger brother Jake plays tight end and was committed to LSU as part of its 2022 class. He said Tuesday night that he was decommitting from the school.

LSU's search for a QB post-Burrow

One of Kelly's biggest tasks will be figuring out who his team's quarterback is in 2022. Johnson is the third quarterback to transfer from LSU since Joe Burrow led LSU's prolific offense on the way to an undefeated 2019 season.

Bob Stoops not interested in Florida head-coaching job

Bob Stoops not interested in Florida head-coaching job Stoops firmly denied having any interest in the Florida job, and he made it sound like he doesn’t particularly want any other job right now. Bob Stoops on the vacant Florida job: "I love what I'm doing with TV…I enjoy watching my son play, and the Sooners…I'm not looking to get in to that [job]." Said Florida is one of the best jobs out there, though, and has great memories.@markrsports @sportsanimal — Matt Ravis (@mattravis) November 24, 2021 “I love what I’m doing with TV. … I enjoy watching my son play, and the Sooners,” Stoops said.

The transfer portal is the college football version of free agency. Texas is in the market for transfers at almost every position on the field. Steve Sarkisian wants to bring in more competition everywhere, including quarterback . Casey Thompson and Hudson Card both played well at times during the 2021 season. Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Joe Burrow all won the Heisman after transferring from their original school. Justin Fields sat one year at Georgia before moving on to Ohio State and leading them to a national championship appearance. Jalen Hurts was benched at Alabama before becoming

We lost 2 QBs to the transfer portal (Chayil Garnett & Cord Sandberg), so we were taking a QB either way. Bryan Harsin just went through a season where his top 2 QBs got injured. TJ has 5 years to play 4 seasons (compared to Bo's 3 years to play 2). Personally, I think Bo could be good with good QB There is definitely something to be said about SMU, Houston, and Coastal Carolina being unranked, but I was unable to find a specific stat to use. There are just too many 1 loss teams in the last 7 years to sift through. I have a hunch that #20 Minnesota's loss to Bowling Green is the worst loss by team quality

Myles Brennan — Burrow's backup in 2019 — opened the 2020 season as LSU's starter but played in just three games before he suffered a season-ending injury. Brennan then suffered a fractured left arm in a freak fishing accident this summer. That injury derailed his chances of playing at all in 2021 and Orgeron confirmed that Brennan would be transferring in early November.

After Brennan went down in 2020, both Johnson and TJ Finley saw playing time. Johnson played in six games and Finley played in five. Finley is now at Auburn and backed up Bo Nix for most of the season. He started the Iron Bowl against Alabama after Nix suffered a season-ending ankle injury against Mississippi State.

With Brennan and Johnson transferring, the only QBs that remain on LSU’s roster are freshmen Matt O’Dowd, Garrett Nussmeier and Tavion Faulk. Nussmeier is the only QB of the three currently on scholarship and he’s already played in four games in 2021. If he plays in the Texas Bowl he’ll be over the redshirt game limit and the season will count against his eligibility.

Quarterback help will likely be on the way via the transfer portal ahead of the 2022 season and Kelly will assuredly be working hard to keep the commitment of 2022 QB Walker Howard. The Lafayette native is a five-star recruit and the No. 2 pro-style QB in the country. He’s been verbally committed to LSU since June of 2020.

Fresno State QB Jake Haener apologizes for entering transfer portal, will return to program .
Haener was one of the top passers in the country in 2021 season. While players entering the transfer portal after a coaching change is nothing new, what Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener would seem to be a rarity.
