Two of the league's best duos will go head-to-head when the Celtics host the Nets on Wednesday. It'll mark the first time the two teams have played against each other since their first-round matchup in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. The series ended in a gentleman's sweep, with the Nets winning 4-1.
The Boston Celtics turned the ball over a costly 23 times in their three-point loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
Boston had only done that six times in the last ten years.

Playing without Jaylen Brown, who is out with a hamstring injury, Jayson Tatum stepped up, scoring 29 points to go with ten rebounds, but he also had six of the team's 23 turnovers.
Boston went on an 8-0 run to claw their way back from a 21-point deficit to draw within five with just 3:59 left in regulation, but ultimately it was their turnovers that cost them the game. They were within a point in the last ten seconds of the game allowing Los Angeles to hold on.
Anonymous NBA coach rips Jayson Tatum for being selfish
An ESPN profile on the Boston Celtics' fall from NBA Finals contention revealed that an Eastern Conference coach sees Jayson Tatum as selfish. When Marcus Smart called on teammates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to "pass the ball" earlier this month, it furthered the notion that the se two young wings flanking the Celtics offense seem to hold onto the ball. "Every team knows we are trying to go to Jayson and Jaylen, and every team is programmed and studies to stop Jayson and Jaylen," Smart said at the time. "I think everybody's scouting report is to make those guys try to pass the ball. They don't want to pass the ball.
"We didn't do ourselves any favors by just handing them points,"
Boston gave up 33 points off turnovers. Facing a Clippers team playing without Paul George, the Celtics gave up 63 points in the first half - allowing the Clippers to shoot 55 percent from the floor, and gave up 30 points inside the paint as well.

Boston Celtics can’t overcome 29-point Brooklyn Nets lead, fall 123-104
An electric fourth quarter run couldn’t bring the Celtics all the way back against the red hot NetsThe Celtics simply couldn’t find consistent scoring tonight. Marcus Smart led the team with 20 points, but the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined to shoot just 9-of-31 from the field and the team as a whole connected on just 11 of their 47 three-point attempts. On the other side of things, the Nets seemingly couldn’t miss, with Patty Mills (23), Kevin Durant (21) and James Harden (20) all breaking the 20-point threshold and the team combining to hit 41% of their attempts from deep.
