The NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen car will be on track for testing at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Wednesday, Nov. 17 and Thursday, Nov. These testing sessions follow the series ’ short-track test in October at Bowman Gray Stadium that consisted of a Goodyear tire test and generational star power turning laps at the historic venue. Wednesday will mark the fourth time the Next Gen car has appeared on the oval layout at the Concord, North Carolina, track.
CONCORD, N.C. — The first organizational test for NASCAR’s Next Gen car in the 2022 Cup Series is scheduled Monday and Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway ’s road course. The seventh- generation design is set to debut in the non-points Clash at the Coliseum exhibition on Feb. 6, with a full-fledged premiere in the season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb.

Testing is set for Wednesday and Friday at the 1.5-mile Charlotte oval, with on-track sessions running from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET each day. A list of the drivers and teams scheduled to participate*:

UPS Driver Kidnapped, Tied Up as Thieves Steal Packages From Delivery Truck: Police .
A person with a gun approached the UPS vehicle as the driver was stopped at a traffic light early Tuesday morning, police said.The driver, who was not publicly identified, was found several hours later after other UPS employees alerted police that the vehicle and its driver were missing. The driver did not suffer any injuries in connection to the kidnapping and robbery, police said in a Tuesday news release.
