Cavaliers' slump: Dwyane Wade, LeBron James have seen this before

Cavaliers' slump: Dwyane Wade, LeBron James have seen this before Dwyane Wade, who was on the Miami Heat with LeBron James as they went to four straight Finals, sees similarities in this Cavs team with that same goal.In fact, he said, he has seen this before.

There’s a growing sense around the team that Thomas might be ready by mid - December , beating the team’s initial projection of a January 1 return . That alone will infuse the Cavs with a renewed optimism, or at minimum, some clarity. “Nobody thought it would be a struggle like this,” Thomas said

However, the Cavs could also be getting some help internally quicker than previously anticipated. First expected to be out until at least January, Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck reports that there’s a ‘ growing sense ’ that Thomas will make his return in mid - December instead

In an excellent feature that followed the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first three games of their four game road trip, Bleacher Report's Howard Beck reported that there's hope within the Cavs organization Isaiah Thomas could be back even earlier.

From Beck

There's a growing sense around the team that Thomas might be ready by mid-December, beating the team's initial projection of a January 1 return. That alone will infuse the Cavs with a renewed optimism, or at minimum, some clarity.

"Nobody thought it would be a struggle like this," Thomas said, before adding, "It can't storm forever. At some point, it's gonna click. And then when it does, we'll be a really good team."

Paul grateful for 'overwhelming support' after assault

Paul grateful for 'overwhelming support' after assault U.S. Sen. Rand Paul says he has received overwhelming support following an injury after an assault at his home.Paul posted on his Twitter account Sunday that he and his wife were grateful for the support "after Friday's unfortunate incident." Kentucky State Police say Paul had minor injuries. Police arrested 59-year-old Rene Boucher and charged him with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault with a minor injury.

Isaiah Thomas ' Cleveland Cavaliers debut might be coming sooner than expected. The Cavs ' All-Star point guard has not played since last year's Eastern Conference Finals when he was a member of the Boston Celtics, but he is now targeting a return in mid - December . According to ESPN's Brian

Cavs ' Isaiah Thomas seems on course to beat projections for his return from his hip injury, some now think he may be back by Mid - December . There’s ‘ Growing Sense ’ Around Cleveland Cavaliers That Isaiah Thomas Could Play by Mid - December .

That would be a major boost to Cleveland if they could get Thomas back ahead of schedule. James' comment in the same story about not having someone who can create and score in a while has made some waves. But it seems pretty clear, to me at least, that he's referring to not having Thomas for the first few weeks.

"It's been a while since I've had that clear-cut guy who can get guys involved but also score at the same time," James told B/R Mag. "But it's fine. It's something that our team will make an adjustment to."

Thomas is clearly excited and looked like he was having a blast on the bench Monday. The Cavaliers have been steadfast in public by saying that they want Thomas to be 100 percent before he comes back. But it's certainly not a bad thing that there is some optimism on their end.

Draymond: LeBron's workload the most worrying of Cavs' 'glaring concerns'

Draymond: LeBron's workload the most worrying of Cavs' 'glaring concerns' Draymond Green sees a number of "glaring concerns" with the Cleveland Cavaliers right now, but none more concerning than LeBron James' workload. "LeBron is playing so many minutes right now," Green told USA Today's Sam Amick.

The latest Tweets from Isaiah Thomas (@ isaiahthomas ). Proud Father! If all I'm remembered for is being a good basketball player, then I've done a bad job with the rest of my life.

As if things haven't been going well enough for the streaking Cavaliers , they could soon be closer to full strength according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst. Windhorst: Internally, the # Cavs are shooting for mid - December for a return of Isaiah Thomas .
