On Friday, huge news broke, regarding news of the shooting death of Migos rapper Takeoff. Houston police arrested 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark. Shortly after, he was hit with a murder charge.

In addition to Clark’s arrest, his bail is also set at $1 million. Clark will also be on restrictions if he is able to be freed, such as not speaking to close ones to Takeoff. He would also likely have to be on house arrest.

However, Clark did attempt to escape, after Takeoff was killed. According to TMZ, he applied for an expedited passport. After this was completed, he submitted an itinerary for a flight to Mexico. When arrested, Clark was in possession of the passport, as well as a “large sum of cash.”

The 22-year-old suspect has allegedly killed 5 people and injured 19 others in a shooting at an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Colorado Springs on Nov. 19. In a court filing, his attorneys have said that the suspect, who's facing multiple murder and hate crime charges is non-binary and that "they use they/them pronouns".

Prior to Clark’s arrest, 22-year-old “Lil Cam” was suspected of being the shooter in Takeoff’s death. That came after being arrested for a felony firearm charge, this week. His attorney went on to claim that Cam had no involvement, at all.
