Cal State San Bernardino police says shot most likely came from just off campus , which was placed on lockdown for awhile. Police and students are seen on campus of California State University , San Bernardino after reports of shots fired on night of Jan.

California State University, San Bernardino reports online that there are reports of shot fired near its Visual Arts Building and Parking Structure West. An announcement was made Wednesday on its website here.

Officials warned that those on campus should "remain sheltered in place" and "do not attempt to leave campus."

CSUSB says that all its classes at the campus were canceled Wednesday night and that more information is to follow.

A photograph from The Denver Post showed police taking a man into custody outside the Capitol.Witnesses told Denver media outlets that two people shot at each other. A number of shell casings were seen on the street.Joshua Crews, 36, told The Denver Post that he was waiting for a bus nearby when he heard about a dozen shots before getting on the bus. He rode the bus past the Capitol and then police stopped it soon afterward.

2 charged with murder in shooting death of Washington deputy .
<p>Authorities have charged a man with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a Washington state sheriff's deputy after a home invasion.</p>Prosecutors say 32-year-old Frank Pawul also was charged Thursday with kidnapping and unlawful possession of a firearm in the death of Deputy Daniel McCartney. Pawul's bail was set at $5 million.
