  Teen Pulled From Car Wreck Dies, 2 Others Remain Hospitalized PONTIAC (WWJ) - A teen who was pulled from a vehicle that crashed along Woodward Avenue over the weekend has died from his injuries. The 17-year-old boy from Hazel Park died on Monday, two days after he was critically injured in the crash on Woodward near MLK Boulevard in Pontiac. Police say the teen was in the back seat and not wearing a seat belt. Two others were injured. All three victims had to be extricated from the GMC Terrain, which struck a tree in Woodward median around 3 p.m. Saturday. The driver, a 19-year-old man from Pontiac, was last listed in critical condition. The front seat passenger, a 19-year-old man from Texas, is in serious condition.

Teenagers told Fox11 that the investigator approached the group because they were playing loud music.

“He did not look like a cop or anything,” one of the teenagers said. “It was probably like three seconds he had (the gun) out, and everyone froze and was in shock.”

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department would not confirm details reported in the media about the incident.

“Orange County Sheriff’s Department employees are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism on- and off-duty,” sheriff’s officials said in their statement. “We take this incident seriously and will fully investigate.”
