  Champion dog worth $10,000 stolen from Greenville County home, investigators say Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are asking for information about the theft of a Bichon Frise Breeding Champion dog. Authorities said the dog is valued at about $10,000. The dog went missing Oct. 13 from a home on Log Shoals Road. Investigators said her microchip was scanned at the Petco on Harrison Bridge Road, in Simpsonville a short time later. They said it was reportedly brought in by a woman pictured below. The dog is described as a 4-year-old female named Leah and weighs approximately 11 pounds.

A gathering in memory of a local rapper turned into shots being fired in Jackson.

Gunfire has reportedly erupted at a vigil for the victims of a mass shooting at a homecoming party near Greenville , Texas, that left at least two people dead and multiple injured on Sunday.

A shooting happened after the vigil for Kevin Berry Sunday night in the parking lot of St. Augustine Park.

Berry was one of the people shot and killed in a shooting at a homecoming party in Greenville Saturday night.

WFAA's Matt Howerton was covering the Sunday vigil, and took the following video once he and his photographer got to safety. Howerton said he heard dozens of gunshots:

Kevin Berry was a 23-year-old father of two with another baby on the way, his mother told WFAA Sunday. He was at the party in Greenville after taking his kids to see their mother. He died in his brother's arms, his mother said.

Accused shooter at Hunt County party makes first court appearance .
Brandon Gonzales appeared in court Wednesday morning. Gonzales, 23, is accused of killing two people and injuring a dozen others in a Saturday night shooting at The Party Venue in Hunt County.
