Do too much research in to do buzz on TikTok , internet users slip easily. Especially when they do not master the codes. This is what happened to paramedics in the North West of England who, after posting a video, received very strong criticism and had to apologize publicly.

These paramedics have therefore decided to recreate the dance of the coffin , this choreography of "dancers-bearers" in Ghana who carry the coffin on the shoulder during burials. A viral video that has toured the planet and which you can see here.

These caregivers recreated the scene with a stretcher, in which there is a mannequin representing a patient with Covid-19. After filming the dance, they posted the video on TikTok with the caption: "Warning: imminent morale boost # Covid19" .

Bad buzz and public apologies

As you might expect, the video went very poorly with Internet users. "They say they are going to boost our morale. I don't see how in torn families it cheers up" we read on Twitter, as did this indignant comment: " is completely amoral , it makes me sick ". Or the words " mock death, it's never good ".

The deleted video, a spokesperson for the healthcare team publicly apologized: "A TikTok video posted by members of one of our teams has circulated on social networks and we see them acting in a totally non-professional . We apologize to for the pain this may have caused. We assure that we are taking this incident very seriously and that it will be resolved internally. "
