Two killed in plane crash at Mansfield Airport, state police say Two people died in a small plane crash Saturday afternoon at Mansfield Municipal Airport, according to the Massachusetts State Police. State police said the crash happened around 12:36 p.m. and that the plane caught fire. The Federal Aviation Administration said the Cessna 172 aircraft had two people on board. Mansfield police, firefighters and other emergency services are at the scene. State police said firefighters are working on fire suppression. Mansfield police are asking the public to avoid Fruit Street to allow emergency vehicle access.

Helicopter crash kills four Americans and their pilot in Kenya - police © Bing Maps © 2018 HERE/Microsoft Lake Turkana, Kenya NAIROBI, March 4 (Reuters) - Four Americans and their Kenyan pilot were killed when their helicopter crashed on a remote island in Lake Turkana in a national park in northwest Kenya, police said on Monday.

The aircraft came down in Central Island National Park at around 8 p.m. on Sunday, police said, killing all on board.

The cause of the crash had yet to be determined.

"Available information indicates that two helicopters had landed earlier at Labolo tented Camp on the National Park’s Island, however one managed to clear the area safely," Kenya's National Police Service said on its Twitter feed.

Police did not identify the victims, saying next of kin had to be notified first.

The crash comes less than a month after three Americans were among five who died in a plane crash in the west of the country. (Reporting and writing by Hereward Holland Editing by Robert Birsel)
