  Virginia crash on I-64: A bus slammed into a semi truck, splitting it in half and leaving 19 people hospitalized A massive crash sent 19 people to hospitals as thick fog and ice covered a Virginia highway Sunday. The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 near the Nelson-Augusta county lines, Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corrine Geller said. "Heavy fog and icy road conditions are to blame," Geller said. The driver of a tractor-trailer lost control, and the semi truck filled with mail overturned, state police said. A nearby charter bus wasn't able to avoided the overturned semi and struck it. "The impact of the crash split the tractor-trailer in half," Geller said.

Robinson, 25, of Craigavon in Northern Ireland, was arrested shortly after the bodies of dozens of Vietnamese nationals were found in the back of a refrigerated lorry at an industrial park in Grays, Essex on October 23.

Robinson had previously been charged with 39 counts of manslaughter, conspiracy to traffic people, conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration and money laundering, as reported by CNN.

Appearing at the Old Bailey in London on Monday via video link, Robinson entered two guilty pleas, to charges of conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration with others and of acquiring criminal property.

The 25-year-old entered no other pleas to the remaining charges against him.

The hearing was adjourned until December 13.


Injuries reported after driver fleeing police causes four-car pile-up in Olathe .
OLATHE, Kan. — Injuries are reported after a driver fleeing police Friday afternoon caused a four car pile-up near 135th and Pflumm. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 42-year-old KCK woman was fleeing police around 2 p.m. on eastbound 135th Street when she allegedly ran a red light on Black Bob Road, causing her Chevy Suburban to crash into another vehicle. She then continued driving and rear-ended another vehicle, causing a four-car pile up. The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Two other people involved in the crash suffered minor injuries. Several other people were not injured.
