MADRID (Reuters) - Spain lifted on Tuesday the ban on direct air and sea connections with Italy that had been in effect since March 11 and has been maintained throughout the containment established to counter the spread of the new coronavirus.

This provision was published in the official bulletin.

Travelers from Italy must, however, like all visitors arriving from abroad, respect a compulsory "fortnight" in Spain, where the state of health emergency is still in force.
