CAIRO (Reuters) - The agreement reached between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to normalize their diplomatic relations is "dangerous" and "illegitimate", the Iranian foreign ministry said on Friday in a statement quoted by the Irna news agency. .

"Abu Dhabi's shameful decision to strike a deal with the Zionist puppet regime (Israeli) is a dangerous move and the UAE and other states that have supported it will be held responsible for its consequences," the statement added , according to Irna.

"It amounts to stabbing the Palestinians in the back and it will strengthen regional unity against the Zionist regime," he continues.
